Books That Suck Month: Day Twenty-Two: Evernight by Claudia Gray

Bianca wants to escape.

She's been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where the students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.

Then she meets Lucas. He's not the "Evernight type" either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him.

"I couldn't stand it if they took it out on you," he tells Bianca, "and eventually they would."

But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.

I just want to say that you're doing a great job with your vampire books for the entire month! I can't even imagine reading thirty-one books and then writing a review about each one. Keep it up! :) I love your blog!

Haha, well I haven't been reading EVERY one, although I wish I could. Funny how books cost money and there never seems to be enough of it. But thank you. I hope that this is informative and a good resource for people.

This book is in my TBR pile- I'm looking forward to reading it. :)

By the way, I think it'd be hilarious if you did another Books that Suck month, but actually did books that were so horrible to read. It might alienate people and cause fights, but it'd be kinda funny still. lol

Aw, but I don't think my sweet nature could handle that! Haha. But if I ever did, the book that would be at the very top of that list is GREAT EXPECTATIONS. I HATED that book.

haha, I read some of that book for my English Novel class last semester- even did a group presentation on it, despite having only read like 100 pages of it.

I actually kinda liked it, but it's not something I'd read in my free time. What I really hated was Villette by Charlotte Bronte, which I also didn't finish, but it wasn't that good- way too emo.

Well, I thought the part that was supposed to be the climax was way too long and drawn out. But oh well. I've never read Villette though.

I really want to read this. So many books! So little time. I swear!! I need to stop buying books until I get more caught up on the ones I still need to read. LOL
