The Compulsive Reader: My House is Booktropolis

My House is Booktropolis

It's the most wonderful time of the year...and no, I don't mean Christmas is coming (though that is a major perk! I love Christmas--I grew up in a house full of Christmas-maniacs). But rather the approach of fall ferries in a bunch of Spring titles! Behold yesterday's loot:

That's 25 books. Count them if you don't believe me. My shelves are groaning.

And, as if that weren't enough to keep me reading until Spring actually arrives, remember the part about me being a panelist for the Cybils?

One perk is review copies. Here's a pic of maybe half of the ones that I've received to far:

Um, so my Christmas list...it's like this:
Because apparently I've filled up my built ins...the ones that are floor to ceiling and are about 8 feet long? Yeah, filled. So instead, I have built little towers of books everywhere. I have a Booktropolis in my house. It's quite entertaining, actually.
So anyways, that's what's happening in my life. Look out for a review of Sasha Watson's debut novel, Vidalia in Paris, and and interview with her soon!

Could you please try and list all the books you have? And lol...if that's too hard...then ... for a start...perhaps the books in those two pictures?

But I really would love it if you could post a list with all your books!
And yeah I know what you mean...my house is full of books as well. Trust me, I need LOADS of bookshelves as well lol :p

Well, seeing as I have about 700 books, that could be problematic, but here's a list of the books pictured:

Dirty Laundry
What They Always Tell Us
The Sky Inside
Must Love Black
Taken by Storm
If I Stay
Just One Wish
Because I Am Furniture
The King's Rose
Peace, Locomotion
Beautiful Americans
You Are So Undead to Me
The Heartbreak River
Look Both Ways

And the second picture:

Dream Girl
Far World Keep
The Magician
The Dragon Heir
Artemis Fowl
The Remarkable and Very True Story of Lucy and Snowcap
Ratha's Courage
Palace of Mirrors
Once Upon a Time in the North
Diamond in the Darkhold
The Order of the Odd Fish
Little Brother
The City of the Lake
Battle of the Labyrinth
The Gypsey Crown
Heck: Where the Bad Kids Go
Zoe's Tale

Whew! As for the rest, how about I take pictures of my shelves (close ups) so you can see?

*gasp* You have a copy of Starclimber? I'm jealous!
I hope that means you've read/will be reading Airborn and Skybreaker, because while I don't know if it's necessary to read the two prequels to understand the third one, it will probably add a lot to your enjoyment.

I want to read Willow SO BAD. It looks soo good. I'm definetly getting it when it comes out!

I don't have a big bookshelf anymore. So now my small bookshelf is groaning and soon i will have books laying on the floor... as if they aren't all over, already. Haha! :)

LOL! My floors look like that too. My small bookshelf was already full, so now with the Cybils it's pretty crazy.

Wow, that's a lot of books and VERY similar to how mine are, lol.

I may have to take pictures of my book stacks and bookcases eventually. I need to buy another bookcase soon.

I have some of those same books too, and will be getting some of the others soon.
