Up for grabs this weekend is a copy of Meg Cabot's manga, Avalon High: Coronation, Volume 2: Homecoming (that's a mouthful!). It's part of the seuqel to her novel Avalon High, which is a modern day King Arthur story.

You know the novel Avalon High was recommended by a bookseller friend a while back when I asked for good Arthurian-esque books. It is still on my TBR list... and with my current desire (as a YA "librarian") to properly expose myself to the Graphic Novel genre and gain an appreciation of it, I think this would be a nice opportunity. I just requested Vol.1 from another branch as ours doesn't have it.

My mom brought home Avalon High from the bookstore, (because she knew I loved Meg Cabot)and that's how I grew attached to the series. I still haven't gotten #2 manga. :]
The first one in this series was a bit of cliffhanger. Can't wait to read the second one. Thanks for the contest!

OMG - have to have this book. I have a 7th grade girl who claims that she doesn't like to read. Just talked her into reading Avalon High and she loved it. Mrs. Shealy, please get me more like this - I didn't realize that it had a sequel. PLEASE choose my entry!
I read the first graphic novel and was disappointed that it was so short! And it ended so suddenly! But I want to read the second one!!!
