ETA: I was a little surprised by your comments, but I really appreciate everyone's honesty. I'm not loving this one as well, but I was tired of the dots. Please keep the comments coming! I'm looking into getting something a little more personalized done (cost is a big issue), so if you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them!

It looks kinda boring. Hurtful for the eye as well. Too much green. At least the background should be a little bit more different than the big writing-column and banner. Which it is NOT.

The old one was waaaay better :). Green is fine, but white is much more *uhm* uplifting! That's the word :)
I like this design better than your other one. This one isn't like everyone else's out there. I really like the green design, but it might hurt my eyes after looking at it for a little while.
Honestly white text on a dark background is always harder to read but besides that it's cute!

I love the green design! I don't think it looks that bright at all, actually. It's nice but not too flashy. I would keep it! :)
I like the green. It's simple but in a "classic" way not a "boring" way. The only thing I would change (and I need to get on changing this about my blog, too!) is possibly adding a picture or a banner of some sort to the header to jazz it up a little and make the design stick with you!
I personally like it. I don't think it's hard on the eyes at all because I prefer a bit darker backgrounds with lighter on top. The polka dots wasn't a favorite of mine personally.
Personally I like it but if you wanna make some changes , the Blogger Draft version now has Template designer in the layout section. Which lets you do lot of fiddling without touching a single code of CSS. Lot of background variations , sidebar sizes and all. Check it out. That might help :)
Hey today it's better! Maybe it wasn't loading properly yesterday? It was all solid green. I really like the white in the middle and the small designs on the sidebars.
No, I actually like the new layout. It's easy to read, and I like green. It takes a while to get things right, but like I tell my students, CONTENT is more important than the clip art!
I like it! Green is easy on the eyes. Plus, black text on a white background is easiest to read. If you had a color-coordinated image at the top, it'd be perfect!
