I'm just as excited as anyone to learn how the Hunger Games trilogy concludes, and I know everyone wishes August 24th were tomorrow, but I just wanted to re-post a statement Suzanne Collins released last week:
"One of the most important things to me is that everyone in the world is going to be able to experience the final book of The Hunger Games all at the same time, and be able to discover what happens in the book without hearing about it elsewhere first. Word will certainly travel fast, but I urge you – before or immediately after August 24th – to please respect the other Hunger Games fans worldwide and avoid sharing any spoilers, so that the conclusion of Katniss’s story can unfold for each reader the way it was meant to unfold."
Knowing Suzanne and the rest of the books, I'm certain she's going to shock us all! And while I tend not to be a violent person, I know that if someone spoiled it for me, I'd want to strangle that person (the YouTube video of the kid yelling out the big spoiler at the end of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to a crowd of fans waiting for their copies of the book has haunted me for years).
So, keep your lips shut, and if you must, must, must talk about a spoiler online after the book comes out, for goodness sake (and your own), give us all spoiler warnings!
