Seeing as I believe the world could end before I even post this blog post or a million years from now, this doesn't perturb me too much. When I met Suzanne in the summer of 2009, she guessed that the movie might be out in 2011, so this isn't too much of a setback. And frankly, the fact that this movie keep developing is awesome--too many times popular books have been surrounded by rumors of silver screen treatment but nothing has ever panned out. And while movies can't ever hold a candle to books, I do think that this one will be interesting, considering Collins has had a hand in writing the screenplay.
She talked a little bit about what her hopes for the movie are in the Borders Book Club Discussion video. Click here, and then click on the last video segment to hear me ask about the movie and Suzanne's response.

Whew, that gives me some time to read the series (I know, I know, I really need to read this series. I was waiting for Mockingjay to come out!)
I'm so glad to hear the author is going to have a hand in writing the movie. At least then you know they won't mess it up too much.
