Short Story Review: “Tomorrow is Today” by Julie Cross

This “short story” companion to Tempest is less of a short story and more of a vignette. Cross’s plot is hard enough to follow with the twisty plot turns and the added confusion of time travel, and it’s hard to see where these scenes fit in with her greater novel. Still, it’s a nice little taste of her writing and characterization, which is something that fans of Tempest will appreciate and a nice preview for potential readers. Other than that, it doesn’t appear to be much more than fun deleted scenes. However, for a free e-book download, that’s not a bad thing and you can’t go wrong with reading this fun little piece.

I wonder what the purpose of this companion is? It does not sound like it fits.
