Cover Talk: Champion by Marie Lu

I read Legend by Marie Lu a couple of years ago and I really liked it. (You can read my review here.) Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to pick up Prodigy yet (although it is definitely on my list), but seeing the cover for the third book, Champion, makes me want to get caught up. I really like these covers! Here are the covers for the first two books:

I love the symbols, and the stencil/spray painted effect! And, here is the cover of Champion, just revealed yesterday!

Absolutely. Love it.

I like how this cover has all of the same effects/elements of the previous two, but it really seems to be upping the stakes with the impression of flames and the bullet hole. Awesome, awesome.

What do you think of the covers?

Oh my gosh! I hadn't seen CHAMPION's cover yet, it's just gorgeous! It definitely ups the ante on an already impressive series of covers. (I too have not read PRODIGY yet: too many books, not enough hours. Sigh.)

I love that there's red as I predicted that would be the color to go with the yellow and blue of the previous books!

I'm embarrassed to say I haen't yet picked up Prodigy. I need to do that. I'm so behind in my reading. I love these covers though. I'm usually drawn to covers with symbols and interesting fonts more so than the girl-in-a-prom dress covers that have been so prevalent.
