Like you I thought it was beautifully written but I wanted more from the fairy story. Neither of the intended romantic entaglements were passionate enough for me. One of my favorite Cinderella retellings is Cameron Dokey&#39;s Before Midnight...it&#39;s short, but it&#39;s so different and happy and romantic, which is what I think all fairy tales should be.
